@KENPACHii: While reseting the password is good for when you've forgoten the password it can cause alot of issues depending on the system configuration. As hughJ25 and bystreamsofwater brought out finding out the password is sometimes whats needed.

If you use windows to encrypt a file, it encrpyts based on users password, if the password is reset then you would have to crack those files to access them again. It would be simplier if possible to recover the users password and leave the system unadulterated.

So I dowloaded these tables and when trying to crack the password, I still get a 'not found' for my password. Could it be that the password is over 14 characters long and/or that it uses special characters that OPHCRACK is not equipped to crack? I highly doubt it. It's probably because I'm not installing/loading the tables correctly. I'm using the Vista LiveCD and am loading the tables from another harddrive.
